Senior Java & Angular Lead Developer (Fintech)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work model. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Define and evolve scalable API-centric, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design, clean architecture, and established design patterns.
• Design and build high-performance backend services with Java or Kotlin and Spring.
• Lead REST API development, including contracts, versioning, security standards, and automated Spring Batch workloads.
• Maintain unit and integration test coverage across backend and frontend modules.
• Conduct code reviews, establish engineering practices, mentor developers, and collaborate with architects, Product Owners, and DevOps teams on OpenShift delivery pipelines.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software development experience, including senior or lead work on enterprise-scale platforms.
• Expert knowledge of Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Strong experience with REST API design, Kafka, SQL databases, and MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of Angular for API integration, UI architecture, and component development.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, DDD, clean architecture, OpenShift, CI/CD, automated logging, and distributed monitoring.
• Fluent French and professional working proficiency in English are required.
