Software Engineer - IAM (Java)

What you will do

• Build and operate authentication services covering SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, session and token lifecycle management, SCIM provisioning, and bot and fraud defense.
• Develop authorization models for roles, capabilities, and grants across accounts and organizations.
• Build APIs and internal tooling for managing and troubleshooting user data and access controls.
• Collaborate with product management, product design, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders on complex use cases.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, investigate production incidents, and document resolutions in runbooks.
• Resolve reliability, data-integrity, and security issues, including dependency and container vulnerability remediation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience building and shipping reliable software services.
• Backend development experience with Java or Ruby; familiarity with additional backend languages is useful.
• Experience modeling and managing data at scale, including writing and reasoning about SQL for relational databases.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants for implementation, debugging, and code review.

Nice to have

• Experience with SCIM, OAuth2, SAML, or OIDC.
• Experience with GraphQL APIs and observability platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
