Accounting/Finance Summer Intern (Topeka, KS) 2027

Location: Topeka, Kansas, United States. Full-time hybrid role with one remote workday per week; relocation is required if located more than 50 miles from Topeka. Two-day training orientation takes place in Fort Worth, Texas.

Monthly salary: $4,500.

What you will do

• Prepare internal and external financial reports and perform account reconciliations.
• Conduct contract research and securely maintain confidential information.
• Assist with testing financial system changes and enhancements.
• Handle ad hoc requests and resolve issues for customers, employees, and business partners.
• Support continuous improvement while maintaining business integrity.
• Gain exposure to payroll services, revenue management, and technology management.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship assistance.
• At least 18 years old upon hire.
• Pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
• Have less than three years of professional work experience, excluding internships, part-time jobs, and positions held during degree studies.
• Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, clear communication, adaptability, and resilience.

Nice to have

• CPA license or intention to pursue CPA certification.
• Prior accounting or finance internship experience.
• Leadership experience in a campus, community, or extracurricular organization.
