Laboratory Manager

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA; onsite laboratory role

Salary: USD 100,000–120,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage daily laboratory operations, sample flow, testing activities, staffing, and production schedules.
• Hire, coach, evaluate, train, and manage laboratory staff, including onboarding and performance support.
• Oversee data checking and transfer, investigate potential inaccuracies, and support accurate result release.
• Coordinate quality investigations involving complaints, non-conformances, corrective actions, audit findings, and other site quality events.
• Identify process improvements, recommend laboratory equipment, compile statistics, and support budget and expenditure monitoring.
• Manage laboratory supplies, reagents, equipment maintenance, validation reviews, training, and compliance with cGMP and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or medical technology, from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory methods, materials, techniques, apparatus, and equipment.
• Ability to organize, communicate, teach, and work effectively with others.
• Ability to manage and schedule the work of laboratory staff.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local standards and regulations affecting clinical reference laboratory operations.
