Program and Campus Manager

Location: Primarily Brunswick, Maine, with programming at a second campus in Carrabassett Valley and other sites across Maine

The Adaptive Outdoor Education Center provides year-round adaptive recreation and education programs for people with disabilities.

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day program operations, development, scheduling, staffing, and program quality.
• Supervise staff and volunteers, evaluate performance, and coordinate staff hours.
• Develop safety, health, behavior, and campus protocols for programs and participants.
• Build relationships with agencies, families, funders, and partner program sites.
• Manage program budgets, purchases, fundraising support, sponsorship activities, and grant writing.
• Oversee campus events, buildings, grounds, and the security and cleanliness of program spaces.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of managerial experience in the nonprofit sector.
• Successful grant-writing experience and strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for inclusion, accessibility, outdoor recreation, and the arts.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications, or willingness to obtain them.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in recreation, education, hospitality, or a related field.
