Senior Scientist, Structural Biology

What you will do

• Lead structural biology activities for therapeutic antibodies and other biologic modalities, from sample preparation through structure determination and interpretation.
• Purify, assemble, and characterize antibodies, antigens, Fab–antigen complexes, and related protein assemblies.
• Prepare and screen cryo-EM grids, optimize biochemical and vitrification conditions, and assess sample quality.
• Process cryo-EM data, including particle picking, classification, three-dimensional reconstruction, model building, refinement, and validation.
• Analyze antibody–antigen interfaces, epitopes, conformational states, and structure–function relationships to support antibody discovery and optimization.
• Collaborate with biologics discovery, protein sciences, biophysics, in silico discovery, and project teams; communicate results through reports, presentations, and publications.

Requirements

• PhD in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience, or an MS with 4 years of industry experience.
• Hands-on experience in antibody–antigen structural biology, protein complexes, or a closely related area.
• Experience with single-particle cryo-EM, including sample preparation, grid screening or optimization, data processing, and structure determination.
• Experience with protein expression, purification, complex assembly, and biochemical or biophysical characterization.
• Working knowledge of cryo-EM software and structural analysis tools.
• Strong scientific reasoning, troubleshooting, collaboration, organization, writing, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with antibodies, antigens, epitopes, or immune protein complexes.
• Experience with negative-stain EM, X-ray crystallography, Cryo-ET, or complementary biophysical methods.
• Familiarity with antibody discovery, structure-guided design, or biologics drug discovery.
• A track record of published structures and impact on drug discovery projects.
