What you will do

• Partner with discovery teams to evaluate samples, define structural biology strategies, and plan fit-for-purpose experiments.
• Perform and guide cryo-sample preparation, grid optimization, screening, data collection, image processing, model building, refinement, and structural interpretation.
• Deliver structural insights supporting mechanism-of-action studies, molecular design, and therapeutic decisions.
• Develop scalable and reproducible CryoEM workflows that improve throughput, robustness, and data quality.
• Collaborate with Structural Biology, Protein Sciences, Therapeutic Discovery, Protein Engineering, Computational Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Automation, and other teams.
• Support CryoEM platform activities, operate the 200 kV Glacios 2, provide user support for the 300 kV Titan Krios, and evaluate emerging automation and AI-enabled technologies.

Requirements

• PhD in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field; PharmD or MD with relevant postdoctoral experience may also qualify.
• Alternatively, a master’s degree with 3 years of Structural Biology experience or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Structural Biology experience.
• Experience with CryoEM and structural analysis; experience with X-ray crystallography, MicroED, electron tomography, or integrative structural biology is valuable.
• Experience supporting structure-based drug discovery, studying challenging therapeutic targets, or developing methods that improve throughput and reproducibility.
• Experience with automated data collection software such as EPU and high-end CryoEM instruments such as Glacios or Titan Krios is valuable.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring scientists or training CryoEM users.
• Scientific publications, presentations, or technology innovation experience.
• Scripting or coding experience with Python or other programming languages.
