Automation Robot Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Own automation system performance and optimize automated cells for cycle time, throughput, quality, and uptime.
• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, robot, vision, motion-control, safety, and industrial communication programs.
• Optimize robot paths, motion profiles, process sequencing, interlocks, alarms, and recovery routines while maintaining safe operation.
• Configure, calibrate, validate, and maintain vision systems, sensors, error-proofing devices, servo systems, and networked industrial devices.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, launch, and the first 90 days of stabilization with plant teams.
• Manage backups, version control, technical documentation, schematics, network diagrams, training, and handoff to sustainment personnel.

Requirements

• Experience developing and troubleshooting industrial automation systems, including PLCs, robots, HMIs, vision, motion control, safety, and communications.
• Ability to perform offline programming, reach studies, cycle-time simulation, risk assessment, and system validation.
• Ability to apply structured root-cause analysis and corrective action to eliminate recurring equipment and process failures.
• Ability to support manufacturing equipment installation, commissioning, launch, and stabilization.
• Ability to maintain clear technical documentation and train sustainment personnel.
