UAS Deployment Technician (Robotics)

Location: Must reside within 50 miles of the Operations Hub in Midland, Texas; field work and drive-based travel to customer sites in Texas are required.

What you will do

• Deploy, install, operate, validate, troubleshoot, and repair aerial and ground systems at customer sites.
• Plan and execute assigned field activities independently while coordinating with operations, engineering, sales, marketing, customers, and external partners.
• Maintain flight equipment, testing tools, documentation, schedules, and operational status updates.
• Conduct safe operations in accordance with FAA, aviation, OSHA, and customer-specific protocols.
• Participate in field testing of autonomous robotic systems, test product capabilities, and identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Must reside within 50 miles of Midland, TX.
• Valid U.S. driver license and willingness to travel by car 50–70% to client sites in Texas.
• At least 1–2 years of experience operating drones and at least 2 years of technician experience in electrical, mechanical, assembly, or repair work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, flexible environment, including non-routine hours and overtime.
• Strong customer-facing, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather, lift and carry 50–100 lb objects, and perform physically demanding equipment work.

Nice to have

• FAA Part 107 drone operator license.
• Thermographer certification.
• Spanish language skills.
