Director, Technology Public Relations (AI Infrastructure)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; secondary location: Irvine, California. Work is based at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters.

Salary: $199,500–$266,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and own the global technology PR strategy, including messaging, narrative architecture, and story calendars.
• Build relationships with technology media, trade publications, podcasts, and digital outlets.
• Lead media relations, press releases, pitching, embargoes, exclusive placements, and rapid-response communications.
• Manage global PR agency relationships and coordinate launch strategies with Product Marketing, Product, Legal, and Investor Relations.
• Develop executive thought leadership and secure opportunities in podcasts, panels, keynotes, briefings, and awards programs.
• Monitor coverage and measure share of voice, sentiment, message pull-through, web traffic, pipeline impact, and brand perception.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in technology PR, including substantial in-house experience at a global enterprise technology company.
• Established relationships with technology media and a record of securing top-tier coverage for complex enterprise technology products.
• Experience with global PR agencies, executive communications, media strategy, message development, and C-suite interview preparation.
• Fluency in AI infrastructure, cloud, and data storage, with sufficient technical depth to work credibly with reporters and subject-matter experts.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed enterprise environment with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Investor Relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
