Manager, Software Engineering - Ad Serving (AdTech)

Base compensation range: $150,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead backend engineers developing low-latency, high-throughput ad serving and measurement systems.
• Oversee the design and implementation of bidding-server features with engineering and product management partners.
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, scalability, delivery speed, architecture, and code quality.
• Contribute to critical projects through code and design work, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Build an effective engineering culture through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience, including 1–3+ years managing low-latency, high-throughput backend teams.
• 6+ years of hands-on programming experience with Java and/or Go.
• Experience building large, horizontally scalable distributed systems and customer-facing applications.
• Strong understanding of real-time latency, throughput, CPU and memory profiles, performance bottlenecks, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience with cloud providers and services, especially AWS and GCP, as well as agile development and CI/CD processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
