CAD Drafter Intern

What you will do

• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using AutoCAD and other CAD tools.
• Prepare and update assembly, erection, fabrication, detail, and other construction drawings.
• Apply markups from experienced drafters, designers, engineers, and managers.
• Maintain CAD files and drawings according to standards and office procedures.
• Read design drawings and equipment data sheets while meeting safety, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Support the team at the bioprocessing facility, including work involving physical labor and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD-based drafting systems and commonly used CAD concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Explorer, file organization, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and learn new programs.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including climbing stairs and ladders, walking, lifting up to 60 pounds, working at heights and in confined spaces, and wearing PPE.

Nice to have

• Completed CAD drafting classes or equivalent CAD experience.
