Mechanical Engineering Intern

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, or Wichita, Kansas, United States

Company

An employee-owned engineering company delivering mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil design services for buildings and critical infrastructure.

What you will do

• Gain practical experience on healthcare, data center, water-wastewater, transportation, aviation, hospitality, corporate real estate, and other projects.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to mechanical engineering assignments.
• Perform work under the direct supervision of a professional engineer or Project Manager.
• Participate in mentoring and young professionals’ programs with recent graduates and company leaders.
• Complete additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.
• Local candidates are preferred.

Nice to have

• Three years of coursework toward an engineering degree completed by the end of the semester.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, IESVE, or Trane TRACE 700/3D.
