Quality Engineer

Location: On-site in Painesville, Ohio, USA

Salary: $72,000–$96,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead quality improvements across materials, manufacturing processes, and the site quality management system.
• Work with raw material vendors to resolve quality issues and improve supplier quality.
• Support production with issue resolution, product quality and risk assessment, and product disposition.
• Provide plant quality support for new product development, specification reviews, scale-up, design transfer, and facility validation.
• Maintain the corrective action program and drive improvements to CAPA processes.
• Improve document control, calibration, non-conforming material, deviation, and supplier quality processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical field with at least 1 year of experience in quality or a related field; candidates without a bachelor’s degree may qualify with at least 5 years of applicable experience.
• Solid statistical background; Minitab knowledge is preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work across functions and organizational levels in a team-based environment.
• Strong customer service and quality focus, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, take initiative, and identify root causes.
• Successful final candidates must complete a background check and drug screening.
