Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Fremont, United States; supports the Fremont manufacturing site.

Base salary: $81,470–$122,206 per year, plus a performance-related bonus plan.

What you will do

• Work with manufacturing and operations to solve quality problems and identify improvement opportunities.
• Implement manufacturing changes and process change notifications, coordinating stakeholders and customer communication.
• Lead internal quality-system audits and support customer and third-party audits against ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Track CAPA, customer complaints, action items, quality metrics, corrective actions, and 8-D reports.
• Develop error-proofing techniques and ensure corrective actions are connected to current process and product FMEAs.
• Maintain quality documentation, calibration processes, electronic certificates of analysis, and WinLims specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM or technical field such as chemical engineering, engineering, or chemistry.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar quality or technical position.
• Experience supporting manufacturing quality systems, audits, process changes, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to use or learn Minitab, Complaint Pro, JDE, WinLims, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work at the Fremont site.
