Thermal Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office

Compensation: $45 per hour

What you will do

• Learn and apply thermal analysis methods for satellite buses and payloads.
• Perform hands-on testing to generate outputs that improve analysis accuracy.
• Support assembly and inspections of flight buses and payloads.
• Participate in thermal vacuum functional testing and launch support.
• Complete an assigned 12-week project with guidance from a dedicated mentor.

Requirements

• Graduating in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Available for the 12-week, in-person internship program in Los Angeles.
• Spring interns must be able to pause or adjust academic commitments during the program, including taking a semester off or enrolling part-time.
