Staff Software Engineer (Golang/Angular)

Location: Remote (United Kingdom); in-person interview required. Quarterly in-person team offsites are expected.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and deliver high-performance cloud services for the identity platform.
• Design resilient full-stack solutions using Golang and Angular.
• Engineer synchronous and event-driven microservices supporting real-time and batch policy evaluation.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, architects, and global engineering peers to develop secure production systems.
• Lead architecture reviews, system profiling, code reviews, testing strategies, and operational improvements.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation, approximately one week in twenty.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in backend microservice design and development, preferably with Golang.
• Strong experience developing modern web frontends, preferably with Angular.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing, debugging, and performance profiling.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable microservices in a distributed SaaS cloud environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CloudBees/Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon DynamoDB, Aurora, or Snowflake.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or Apache Flink and event-driven architectures.
• Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted software development and agentic engineering practices.
