Senior Data Engineer (Cloud, Data Integration & Migration)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines.
• Build data integration solutions across cloud, on-premise, and third-party systems.
• Design and implement data migration processes covering extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cutover.
• Develop and optimise data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse solutions.
• Perform data profiling, root cause analysis, data quality assessments, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders while supporting data governance, security, and compliance.

Requirements

• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance and the ability to obtain or hold current SC clearance.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK; documentary evidence is required.
• Demonstrable experience in data engineering and delivering complex data migration and data integration projects.
• Strong experience with large and complex datasets across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Athena, plus advanced SQL development and optimisation.
• Practical experience with AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon QuickSight, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL.
