Finance Data Analyst

Location: Remote within the United States; the position may also be office-based where an office is available. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, training, system implementations, stakeholder engagement, or integration activities.

Salary: $50,000–$600,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and equity participation.

What you will do

• Collect, integrate, validate, reconcile, and cleanse financial and operational data from multiple sources.
• Design, document, and maintain ETL data flows, data models, dashboards, datasets, and reporting connections.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, business intelligence dashboards, charts, and visualizations for business stakeholders.
• Create SharePoint forms and automated data-capture workflows to improve accessibility and standardization.
• Translate business requirements and complex analytical findings into practical recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Improve reporting, reconciliation, and data-quality processes through automation while protecting sensitive data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of progressive experience in data reporting, business intelligence, analytics, or a related discipline.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Working knowledge of data warehousing, ETL concepts, relational databases, data models, and reporting architectures.
• Proficiency with Tableau or comparable BI tools, Deltek Vantagepoint, JavaScript, Power Automate, SharePoint, SQL Server, Visual Studio, SSMS, and SSRS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, confidentiality, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience analyzing revenue, profitability, utilization, forecasting, project, and operational data.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint financial reporting, project-based analytics, data extraction, or dashboard development.
• Experience supporting architecture, engineering, construction, professional services, or other project-based organizations.
• Experience designing SharePoint forms and automated workflows or working in organizations undergoing organic growth and mergers and acquisitions.
