What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of domestic and international project cargo shipments from bids through final delivery.
• Develop and execute multimodal transportation plans for oversized, overweight, breakbulk, heavy-lift, and industrial cargo.
• Coordinate route surveys, permits, escorts, lifting and crane requirements, cargo handling, packing, lashing, securing, and delivery sequencing.
• Manage client communication, RFQs, tenders, milestone reporting, exception management, and executive updates.
• Source and negotiate rates with carriers, charter brokers, heavy-haul operators, crane providers, customs brokers, warehouses, and specialized vendors.
• Manage project P&L, costs, margins, risks, compliance, supplier performance, and operational improvements while coordinating and mentoring internal teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of freight forwarding experience, including 3+ years in project logistics, heavy lift, or industrial cargo.
• Experience managing complex international shipments and oversized or overweight cargo.
• Knowledge of breakbulk shipping, chartering, heavy-haul transport, customs compliance, Incoterms, multimodal transportation, and dangerous goods requirements.
• Strong carrier and vendor negotiation, client-facing account management, financial, commercial, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent high-value projects and make decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of international customs, trade compliance, and freight forwarding TMS or ERP platforms.

Nice to have

• CIFFA, CCS, P.Log, APICS, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in energy, oil and gas, mining, industrial manufacturing, or EPC environments.
