Senior Backend Engineer (Golang)

Location: Hybrid role with a newly renovated office in Stockholm, Sweden

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship backend features end-to-end, including proposing high-impact projects.
• Modernize legacy Java and Node.js services into scalable Go-based architecture.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented production code.
• Partner with Product to connect technical solutions to KPI impact.
• Lead incident response and convert root causes into long-term fixes.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical culture.

Requirements

• Hands-on production experience with Go or another strongly typed language.
• Experience designing and scaling distributed systems and APIs in the cloud, using GCP or AWS.
• Comfortable working with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and SQL.
• Ability to identify potential problems early and make sound decisions under ambiguity.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setup connected to the Stockholm office in Sweden.

• Experience working across legacy technology stacks and modernizing older systems.
