Senior Software Engineer, Build Loop (TypeScript)

What you will do

• Design and build Nest.js service scaffolding for new backend services in a next-generation monorepo.
• Implement paved paths, generators, and platform primitives that make services operational from day one.
• Enable new services to run independently from the existing monolith.
• Own deployment workflows for services and web applications on Cloudflare, integrating with AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure managed through Pulumi and Argo CD.
• Lead migrations of substantial codebases into the monorepo and turn them into repeatable migration recipes.
• Partner with product teams, improve platform adoption, and develop tooling, generators, and agent-assisted workflows.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating backend services in production.
• Experience defining backend service boundaries, contracts, and data ownership.
• Business-level English fluency required for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Fluency in TypeScript and Node, with comfort working with edge runtimes.
• Experience with large-scale monorepo tooling such as Nx or Turborepo, cloud environments, codebase migrations, and platform engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience extracting functionality from heavily coupled codebases behind behavior-preserving contracts.
• Experience validating generated output and handling migration risks that may fail silently.
• Proactive adoption and application of AI and emerging technologies.
