operates the Prestwick Aerosystems manufacturing site, producing aircraft wing structures for Airbus commercial aircraft.
What you will do
- Lead the site security function and develop the security strategy, governance, risk register, and Site Security Plan.
- Advise site leadership and oversee physical, technical, and procedural security controls, audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate data protection matters, privacy compliance, personal-data incident response, and collaboration with privacy and legal functions.
- Own employee and contractor screening and vetting, including risk-based requirements, case decisions, confidential records, and service levels.
- Lead security first response, contingency planning, emergency exercises, and continuous improvement after major incidents.
- Manage the Vetting & Security Coordinator, contracted security providers, supplier governance, budgets, and external stakeholder relationships.
Requirements
- Significant security leadership experience in a complex commercial, industrial, aerospace, defence, or similarly regulated environment.
- Relevant security management qualification at Level 5 or equivalent, with experience in security strategy, risk management, governance, and assurance.
- Experience in data protection, personnel security, pre-employment screening, contractor vetting, and handling security-sensitive matters.
- Experience in incident management, investigations, emergency planning, business resilience, auditing, and continuous improvement.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including budget management, supplier governance, contract oversight, and service improvement.
- Successful completion of BPSS, Disclosure Scotland, employment references, and a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing is required.
