Commercial Credit Senior Associate, C&I (Commercial Credit)

What you will do

• Execute commercial credit transactions and manage loan portfolios throughout the credit lifecycle.
• Underwrite new credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and ongoing loan management.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, collateral, industry data, and other credit information.
• Prepare financial models, cash flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, and guarantor analyses.
• Monitor portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, early-warning indicators, and problem-loan management.
• Partner with relationship managers, credit committees, and internal stakeholders; present credit recommendations and escalate risk issues when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant commercial credit or financial analysis experience; or the stated equivalent education and experience combination.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, credit metrics, financial ratios, and trend analysis.
• Ability to structure transactions independently and develop an emerging understanding of legal credit documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organization, time management, and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to support credit policy, regulatory, audit, and internal-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
• Experience with nCino.
