CNC Operator - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA. 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:45 PM–12:45 AM.

Eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments after 90 and 180 days.

What you will do

• Plan machining projects using work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, specifications, machining parameters, and GD&T.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, including installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, gears, stops, and stock pushers.
• Perform drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread-chasing operations while maintaining quality standards.
• Use G-code or conversational programming, measure parts, adjust and reprogram controls, troubleshoot processes, and replace or sharpen worn tools.
• Operate auxiliary equipment such as conventional mills, drill presses, and band saws, and complete preventive maintenance.
• Train CNC Operator Assistants and maintain production, quality, maintenance, and shift-continuity records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of experience as a CNC Operator Assistant, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, machine setup, tooling, blueprint reading, dimensional measuring tools, and automated CNC controls.
• Ability to use G-code or conversational programming and apply basic mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English by telephone, in person, and in writing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, walk, use hands and fingers, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts, fumes, loud noise, airborne particles, and seasonal heat; PPE may be required.
