What you will do

• Manage timelines and processes for new business and renewal placements involving mid-to-large commercial insurance accounts.
• Analyze exposures, financial data, loss information, and market conditions to prepare quote specifications and insurance submissions.
• Develop and execute market strategies, negotiate coverage terms, and present comprehensive proposals to clients.
• Evaluate large deductible programs, captive structures, and other alternative risk financing mechanisms.
• Design layered insurance towers and perform coverage gap analysis with strategic recommendations tailored to client risk profiles.
• Collaborate with Client Advisors, Account Service Teams, carrier partners, wholesalers, and Risk Resources while maintaining market relationships and licensing compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant insurance experience, particularly placing mid-to-large commercial accounts through a broker or agent.
• Current applicable insurance license and strong knowledge of basic commercial insurance coverages.
• Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, negotiation, communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
• High proficiency with Excel and Word, including analysis of exposure and loss data and preparation of proposal documents.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Comfort with an on-site presence in Walled Lake, Michigan is required to support collaboration and cross-functional partnership.

Nice to have

• College degree.
• Experience with Applied Epic.
• Professional designation pursuit or certification such as CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, or CPCU.
