TL;DR
Network & Cybersecurity Engineer (C-sUAS): Designing and integrating secure network architectures for C-UAS sensors, command-and-control applications, data platforms, tactical communications, and authorized effectors with an accent on cybersecurity compliance, interoperability, and mission readiness. Focus on leading RMF authorization activities, developing ATO packages, validating secure configurations, and troubleshooting classified and unclassified mission networks.

Location: Alexandria, VA, United States; travel up to 50%

Salary: $165,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

  • Design secure, interoperable network architectures for C-UAS sensors, C2 applications, mission databases, data platforms, tactical radios, and authorized effectors.
  • Develop network diagrams, data-flow models, authorization boundaries, IP plans, interface-control documents, and system-of-systems architecture baselines.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, SATCOM, cellular, terrestrial WAN, wireless, and tactical-radio interfaces.
  • Support integration across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, tactical networks, laboratory environments, Mission Partner Environments, and authorized Department of War networks.
  • Lead cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability assessment, Zero Trust implementation, secure configuration validation, and network and cybersecurity testing.
  • Advise the C2 Capability Manager and JIATF 401 leadership on architecture, cybersecurity risk, authorization strategy, interoperability, integration readiness, and technical courses of action.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility and ability to obtain SCI access.
  • Experience in network engineering with a strong cybersecurity background.
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework, eMASS authorization packages, security controls, POA&Ms, and continuous-monitoring evidence.
  • Knowledge of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, secure configuration baselines, ACAS, Nessus, SCAP, vulnerability remediation, and residual-risk documentation.
  • Ability to evaluate interoperability, scalability, resiliency, latency, availability, data integrity, and operational suitability of C2 systems.
  • Ability to work in Alexandria, VA, and travel up to 50%.
