Shipping Coordinator (Fine Art Logistics)

Location: Zürich, Switzerland; the role covers Switzerland, Germany, and other countries and requires flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.

What you will do

• Arrange domestic and international shipping and logistics for fine art, rarities, and other property.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes for packing, transportation, security, and related services.
• Assess shipment requirements, enter or validate transport and packing details in SAP, and select suitable logistics options.
• Prepare customs documentation, apply for CITES and other required licenses, and allocate tariffs for international shipments.
• Monitor shipments, resolve vendor and delivery issues, and keep clients and internal stakeholders informed.
• Coordinate consolidated shipments, interoffice transfers, documentation, pre-alerts, and vendor performance reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5+ years of shipping experience in Germany and Switzerland.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, customs procedures, packing methods, transportation methods, and regulatory compliance.
• Fluent English and mandatory German; French is an advantage.
• Prior experience with SAP is required.
• Strong organization, communication, client service, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
