Senior Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Bulgaria or remote from Hungary

Salary: €65,000–€75,000 annual gross if based in Bulgaria; HUF 24,000,000–26,000,000 annual gross if based in Hungary

What you will do

• Architect, build, and own full-stack platforms supporting enterprise infrastructure and operations teams.
• Design systems that ingest, transform, analyze, and expose infrastructure and operational data at scale.
• Develop backend services and APIs for data collection, enrichment, and querying.
• Build web interfaces with advanced search, filtering, and usability for technical users.
• Implement ETL and data-processing pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
• Drive technical standards, code quality, reliability, scalability, and developer experience across the team.

Requirements

• Staff or Senior Full Stack Software Engineering experience with complex production systems.
• Strong backend engineering, API design, data-intensive services, SQL, and relational database experience.
• Proficiency in C#, Python, Go, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD, distributed systems, and cloud-native application design.
• Typically 10+ years of professional software engineering experience and ownership of large or critical systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience operating systems on Kubernetes and working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases.
• Experience with ETL pipelines, analytics platforms, or operational data tooling.
• Exposure to GCP or AWS.
• Experience building tools for infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering teams.
• Knowledge of observability, cost optimization, reliability engineering, or infrastructure automation.
