TL;DR
Interim Sales & Use Tax Support (Accounting and Tax Compliance): Supporting sales and use tax compliance, audit information gathering, tax research, reconciliations, and invoice refund cleanup with an accent on general accounting and Excel-based analysis. Focus on reconciling tax data, preparing audit workpapers, and supporting ad hoc tax projects during a 4–5 month onsite engagement.
Location: 5 days onsite in Irvine, California, United States
Salary: $60–$65 per hour on W-2, plus benefits

What you will do
- Support sales and use tax compliance efforts.
- Gather information and data for sales tax audits.
- Clean up tax workpapers and perform tax reconciliations.
- Reconcile invoice refunds using Oracle data.
- Conduct tax research and support potential ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Availability to work onsite five days per week in Irvine, California.
- Ability to support a 4–5 month project engagement.
Nice to have
- Experience with Oracle.
- General accounting experience relevant to indirect tax work.
