Experienced Associate - Sales/Use Tax

Salary: $73,730–$96,780 in Dallas and Frisco, Texas; $77,240–$101,390 in Houston, Texas.

What you will do

• Prepare and file state and local sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Research relevant state and local tax law and make taxability decisions.
• Reconcile and analyze large volumes of client data to identify savings opportunities and resolve tax issues.
• Meet with clients and taxing authorities, prepare correspondence, and complete tax authority filings.
• Manage multiple client engagements in a deadline-oriented environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Direct staff in day-to-day operations and collaborate with colleagues, service lines, and engagement teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or a related mathematics field.
• At least one year of public accounting or industry experience completing and reconciling multistate sales and use tax returns and researching taxability law is preferred.
• Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership, project management, organizational, and analytical skills, with initiative and adaptability.
• Microsoft Suite proficiency.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
