TL;DR
Inspection Engineer – Pressure Equipment (Industrial Safety): Inspecting pressure equipment, vessels, piping systems, safety devices, and related assets across customer sites in the UK with an accent on compliance, equipment integrity, and industrial safety. Focus on assessing equipment condition, producing technical reports, solving engineering problems, and supporting customers across fuel, oil and gas, tanker, and bulk liquid storage environments.
Location: UK field-based, predominantly covering the West Midlands, Cambridgeshire and Oxfordshire. Regular travel to customer sites is required, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:30.

What you will do
- Inspect pressure equipment, pressure vessels, piping systems, safety devices and related assets.
- Assess equipment condition and prepare clear technical reports and recommendations.
- Support customers with compliance, safety and asset integrity requirements.
- Work independently across industrial customer sites while maintaining high safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues and customers.
Requirements
- Experience in pressure equipment inspection or engineering, mechanical, maintenance, reliability, integrity or process engineering.
- Knowledge of pressure vessels, boilers, steam systems, piping or other safety-critical equipment.
- Experience in petrochemical, oil and gas, chemical, manufacturing, power generation, utilities or similar industrial environments.
- Engineering apprenticeship, ONC, HNC, HND, Engineering Technician qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Understanding of engineering standards and industrial safety requirements, with strong report-writing and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.
Nice to have
- Experience in engineering surveying, NDT, asset integrity, statutory inspections or compliance-focused roles.
- Background as an Inspection Engineer, Engineering Surveyor, Mechanical Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Integrity Engineer, Plant Inspector, Maintenance Engineer, NDT Inspector, Pressure Systems Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Technical Inspector.
