What you will do

• Execute and enhance distribution strategies for the Japanese commercial insurance market.
• Generate new business and portfolio growth through agencies and brokers.
• Build and manage senior-level relationships with key agencies and brokers.
• Lead and develop the Distribution team while overseeing agency and broker activation and performance.
• Monitor market trends, broker dynamics, competitive developments, pipeline, forecasts, and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with underwriting and operations, support digital distribution initiatives, and maintain compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance, including significant agency and broker distribution experience.
• Experience managing senior broker relationships and leading teams or functional initiatives.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese corporate insurance market, distribution landscape, and regulatory environment.
• Native-level Japanese proficiency required.
• Business-level English reading and writing skills and spoken English proficiency required.
• Strong communication, influencing, commercial, pipeline, performance, and stakeholder management skills.
