Compliance Officer - Sanctions (Fintech)

What you will do

• Perform sanctions due diligence during client onboarding and periodic or ad hoc reviews.
• Investigate true sanctions hits from client and transaction screening.
• Assess sectoral sanctions, export controls, dual-use goods, and sanctioned-industry exposure.
• Recommend client acceptance, rejection, or escalation and advise compliance colleagues and management.
• Monitor sanctions developments, assess the impact of new sanctions packages, and maintain sanctions policies and procedures.
• Support risk reporting, audits, targeted sanctions training, internal memos, and optimization of screening systems.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of financial sanctions.
• Good knowledge of Swiss banking and financial laws.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or Economics, with an interest in data analysis.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in the financial industry.
• Very good written and spoken French and English required.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and workload-management skills; excellent PowerPoint proficiency.
