Global Mobility Compliance Specialist (Americas)

Location: Fully remote, but must be based in the United States and able to work across US time zones.

What you will do

• Translate US and Americas tax, payroll, social security, employment law, and immigration requirements into compliance frameworks and decision logic.
• Apply knowledge of US visa categories, including B-1/B-2, H-1B, L-1, TN, and O-1, as well as cross-border assignment rules.
• Map state-by-state payroll tax nexus, worker classification, I-9/E-Verify obligations, and short-term business traveler risks.
• Build cost projections and balance-sheet approaches for assignments across the US and Americas.
• Build, vet, and manage a network of immigration attorneys, tax advisors, payroll providers, and EOR/PEO partners.
• Keep compliance guidance and automated mobility processes current as regulations and partner feedback evolve.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in global mobility, US immigration or tax compliance, or international HR.
• Hands-on experience with international assignments from a policy, compliance, analytics, or process perspective.
• Working knowledge of US visa categories and the Americas regulatory landscape.
• Experience building and managing relationships with external partners or vendors.
• Strong analytical skills and an interest in automation and systems thinking.
• Fluent English and residence in the United States are required; availability across US time zones is expected.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Canadian, Mexican, or Latin American regulations.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
