Technology Product Manager - Cheminformatics and Machine Learning

Location: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium or Spring House, United States

Salary: €79,800–€137,770 per year, plus an annual bonus or sales commissions depending on role and location.

What you will do

• Deliver global cheminformatics and discovery informatics platforms for the research organization.
• Define, evaluate, and implement data-driven and scientific IT approaches across discovery sciences.
• Lead cross-site, multidisciplinary projects with internal and external partners.
• Manage vendors, applications, databases, and resources supporting global cheminformatics infrastructure.
• Drive modernization of chemistry-centric decision-making and global deployment of AI and ML models for molecular invention.
• Define project goals, manage risks and budgets, evaluate outcomes, and develop business change strategies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in cheminformatics, computational chemistry, bioinformatics, data science, computer science, chemistry, or a related field, with relevant scientific IT or computational chemistry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience enabling chemistry informatics systems in big pharma.
• Demonstrated ability to work across both chemistry and technology disciplines.
• Strong business judgment, communication, collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with competing priorities, multiple partners, and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience leading machine learning initiatives in cheminformatics.
• Experience with KNIME or Pipeline Pilot, Python, and commercial chemistry software such as Schrödinger, Chemical Computing Group, OpenEye, or ChemAxon.
• Experience with open-source cheminformatics tools such as RDKit or CDK.
• Experience with Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
