Senior Data Science Consultant (Generative AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; flexible work across the office, home, and client sites.

What you will do

• Lead client engagements from strategy through execution and provide strategic recommendations to middle and senior management.
• Develop and oversee predictive and explanatory models using machine learning, econometrics, optimization, and time-series forecasting.
• Lead projects involving Generative AI and large language models.
• Guide multidisciplinary project teams, mentor colleagues, and ensure impactful delivery.
• Contribute to Data Science and Generative AI offerings through training, working groups, publications, and professional events.
• Support business development through proposals, collaboration opportunities, and client relationship development.

Requirements

• Completed WO Master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field with substantial programming.
• 3–6 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent academic research.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required.
• Strong interest in Data Science, Generative AI, Energy, and Finance.
• A work permit cannot be provided for this position.

Nice to have

• French fluency.
• Experience applying analytics and AI to sustainability and business impact.
