Controls Design Engineer-Early Talent (Power Generation)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; onsite five days a week

Base minimum pay: CZK 614,304 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement control system retrofits and upgrades for turbine packages and driven equipment.
• Configure standard products according to project requirements and select special components.
• Prepare purchase orders, parts lists, manufacturing documentation, functional descriptions, and project manuals.
• Analyze project data, identify issues, and develop safe, high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Coordinate design reviews with engineering, fabrication, assembly, logistics, production, and field installation teams.
• Manage multiple projects and communicate technical issues and progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field and at least one year of relevant engineering experience.
• Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley RSLogix or other PLC programming software and SCADA systems.
• Experience with 2D CAD software and electrical systems engineering, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, cable sizing, short-circuit calculations, and load flow studies.
• Experience preparing regulatory documentation, including CE marking, Declarations of Conformity, and ATEX documentation.
• Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action processes, plus strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good technical English is required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Italian and/or German.
• Experience with gas turbine OEMs or service providers.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas or Power Generation industries.
