Senior Director Global Marketing (Life Sciences)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; office-based at the Boston Innovation Hub. Global travel required at an estimated 30–40%.

Salary: $230,000–$280,000 annually, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Build and execute the global marketing strategy and annual operating plan with clear priorities, KPIs, and governance.
• Lead market and customer insight activities, including segmentation, voice of customer research, competitive intelligence, and portfolio guidance.
• Drive global demand generation and campaign execution, including regional localization, pipeline growth, and lead-to-opportunity conversion.
• Oversee digital marketing performance across SEO/SEM, marketing automation, email, paid media, web, and related channels.
• Build, mentor, and lead a global marketing organization of at least 25 people in a matrixed environment.
• Manage the global marketing budget and operations while applying continuous-improvement tools and ROI-based resource allocation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of senior marketing or commercial leadership experience in life sciences, including global go-to-market strategy and growth delivery.
• Expertise in demand generation, campaign management, segmentation, pipeline analytics, KPI design, and performance management.
• Deep knowledge of digital marketing and marketing technology, including SEO/SEM, paid media, web, email automation, content, and punchout systems.
• Experience scaling global teams of at least 25 people, leading organizational transformation, and working in matrixed environments.
• Strong financial skills in planning, forecasting, budgeting, and ROI-based resource allocation, plus experience partnering with product management and sales.
