Data Governance Lead (Analytics)

What you will do

• Own data quality and freshness by building automated monitoring across source data, pipelines, and reports.
• Manage data lineage and impact analysis to ensure production changes do not break downstream metrics.
• Administer the Lightdash workspace, including permissions, structure, and rollout strategy.
• Extend and guard the semantic layer to ensure one governed definition per metric.
• Govern Segment event tracking, maintaining the catalog and evolving guardrails for data consistency.
• Ensure AI data readiness by documenting and structuring the warehouse for internal AI tools.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Brazil, Mexico, or Colombia.
• Deep hands-on experience with data warehouses, pipelines, and BI tools at scale.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, dbt, and Airflow.
• Automation-first mindset with a passion for building monitors rather than manual checklists.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate development and documentation.
• Ability to enforce standards and build processes that scale without direct reports initially.
