What you will do
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and replenishment.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound workflows while maintaining product quality and temperature integrity.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock rotation, reconciliations, audits, and discrepancy resolution.
- Lead warehouse operatives and temporary agency workers through shift briefings, work allocation, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Promote safe working practices, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance in chilled and frozen environments.
- Track productivity, accuracy, service levels, and labour efficiency while implementing operational improvements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role, preferably in cold chain, food, pharmaceutical, or temperature-controlled operations.
- Knowledge of inbound and outbound warehouse operations, inventory management, and stock control.
- Experience supervising warehouse teams and managing daily operational performance.
- Strong communication, people management, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Competence with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of warehouse health and safety requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience in chilled or frozen warehouse environments.
- Forklift licence, such as Reach, Counterbalance, or VNA.
- Knowledge of GDP, HACCP, BRCGS, or food safety standards.
- Experience with automation or warehouse technology.
