Facilities Engineer – AI & Digital Solutions

Location: BangPa-in, Thailand; onsite at BangPa-In Building 2

What you will do

• Design, review, and execute HVAC projects, including cooling load calculations, psychrometric analysis, air distribution, and cleanroom expansion requirements.
• Plan HVAC capital budgets, perform life-cycle analysis for chillers, cooling towers, and AHUs, and prepare technical upgrade justifications.
• Lead projects from concept through commissioning, including scopes of work, vendor technical evaluations, schedules, quality requirements, and ISO 14644 compliance.
• Monitor temperature, humidity, particle count, and differential pressure while maintaining N+1 redundancy for critical utilities.
• Implement energy-saving and decarbonization initiatives, including chiller plant optimization and low-GWP refrigerant transitions.
• Lead HVAC troubleshooting and corrective actions, support operational handover, update AutoCAD as-built drawings, and supervise contractor safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in electronics or high-tech manufacturing, with knowledge of ISO 14644 and environmental control requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of chiller plants, AHU/MAU systems, psychrometric analysis, cleanroom airflow, pressure balancing, and humidity control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and BMS/BAS control logic.
• Experience with CAPEX project management, root cause analysis using 8D or similar methods, and contractor supervision.
• Interest or basic experience in data analytics tools such as Power BI and willingness to use generative AI for documentation, troubleshooting, and process automation.

Nice to have

• Professional practice license from the Council of Engineers Thailand.
• Knowledge of energy-saving technologies, low-GWP refrigerants, and sustainable industrial facility practices.
