Field Automation Engineer (Emerson DeltaV)

Location: Singapore. Fully remote role covering 80% ASEAN and 20% APAC, with 50% overnight travel to customer sites within the territory or assigned locations.

What you will do

• Deploy, install, commission, and provide post-implementation support for automation hardware and software solutions at customer sites.
• Provide Level 2 service support for automation systems operating in GMP manufacturing environments.
• Troubleshoot control logic, batch processing, alarms, communication interfaces, and system performance issues.
• Configure and customize Emerson DeltaV, including phases, recipes, Control Modules, Equipment Modules, and operator displays.
• Support Siemens PLC/SCADA and AVEVA Wonderware Application Server systems, including controlled changes and lifecycle management.
• Work with customers and internal stakeholders to keep systems compliant, reliable, and audit-ready.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Automation, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of practical, hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS platforms.
• Experience supporting GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing systems.
• Familiarity with industrial integration technologies including OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet.
• Ability to travel approximately 50%, including overnight travel within the assigned territory.

Nice to have

• Experience with incident handling, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Experience serving as a primary automation contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
