Global Head of Projects

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid model with a minimum of three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Own end-to-end visibility of the global project portfolio, including scope, resourcing, interdependencies, risks, benefits, and delivery status.
• Partner with the Global Business Transformation Director and senior stakeholders to prioritise, sequence, and resource strategic and tactical initiatives.
• Lead and develop two Project Manager sub-teams, allocating resources, coaching managers, and supporting recruitment and onboarding.
• Establish consistent project governance, methodology, reporting, dashboards, KPIs, escalation routes, and portfolio review forums.
• Ensure projects maintain clear scope, business cases, budgets, success criteria, benefits tracking, risk management, and post-implementation reviews.
• Represent the project management function in senior forums, communicate portfolio status and recommendations, and resolve delivery blockers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in project and programme delivery, including management of concurrent projects across multiple functions.
• 5+ years of experience leading and developing Programme Managers and Project Managers.
• Deep expertise in project governance and methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, PMI, or PMBOK.
• Strong senior stakeholder management, communication, analytical, problem-solving, budget, and reporting skills.
• Experience establishing or significantly improving a PMO or project management function in a fast-paced international organisation.
• A formal project or programme management qualification, such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, PMP, or an Agile/Scrum certification.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail, FMCG, licensing, or a global consumer brand.
• Experience with MS Project, monday.com, Jira, business transformation, organisational change, or matrix environments across multiple geographies.
