Head of Projects (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead and develop the project management team, establishing governance frameworks, methodologies, and delivery best practices.
• Oversee strategic project and program delivery against business objectives, budgets, timelines, and resource availability.
• Drive continuous improvement across Agile and hybrid delivery models, tools, and project standards.
• Partner with the COO, CIO, senior leadership, and executive stakeholders to turn strategy into project roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Provide executive-level reporting on project health, risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.
• Manage stakeholders, cross-functional delivery teams, and third-party vendors while fostering accountability and delivery excellence.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of project management experience, including 3 years as a Head of Projects or in a similar role.
• Proven experience managing complex project portfolios and leading cross-functional teams in technology-driven environments.
• Strong expertise in project governance, portfolio management, resource planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and technology project delivery.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management and collaboration tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English and the ability to work in a hybrid setup in Warsaw.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech, financial services, gaming, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience influencing stakeholders at executive and board level.
