Corporate Counsel (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in New Port Richey, Florida, or Washington, DC, United States

Annual salary: $135,000–$155,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Provide practical legal counsel to the Aerospace business and North America operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and federal contracting agreements covering sales, supply, services, distribution, maintenance, development, licensing, manufacturing, and procurement.
• Support strategic initiatives involving aerospace, supply chain, manufacturing, technology development, and customer relationships.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with business, engineering, operations, and procurement teams to translate technical requirements into contractual language.
• Develop contract templates, training materials, and legal processes that improve service delivery and compliance.

Requirements

• JD from a nationally accredited law school.
• Admission to practice before any U.S. state bar is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a corporate legal department or private practice.
• Relevant experience with transactional, commercial, and federal government contracting.
• Experience drafting commercial strategy and federal contracts, identifying material legal and regulatory issues, and providing risk-based business counsel.
• Ability to work onsite in New Port Richey, Florida, or Washington, DC.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing industry experience and strong contract negotiation skills.
• U.S. government contracting experience, especially supplier flow-down requirements.
• Experience improving systems and processes for efficient legal service delivery.
• Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience advising cross-functional teams.
