Technical Office Engineer (Structural)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite construction role

What you will do

• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, design calculations, and engineering documents for construction activities.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material submittals, RFIs, technical queries, MTOs, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, procurement, planning, survey, document control, subcontractor, and fabrication teams.
• Review structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, equipment foundations, platforms, supports, fabrication drawings, and related construction works.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, erection, concrete works, grouting, installation, constructability reviews, and resolution of site technical issues.
• Support as-built documentation, final project records, handover dossiers, and technical coordination meetings with project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in technical office or structural engineering roles.
• Experience in EPC, oil and gas, or construction projects; ADNOC experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete, foundations, drawings, RFIs, and technical submittals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and good knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Strong technical coordination and communication skills.
