Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid remote options are available, with on-site physical integration and commissioning required.

What you will do

  • Own the physical and mechanical integration layer of the SparkHaven high-voltage test facility, test bench, and research prototypes.
  • Define and maintain the CATIA 3D virtual mock-up, including spatial clearances, ergonomic access, maintenance envelopes, piping, fluid lines, cable trays, and structural fixtures.
  • Draft purchaser technical specifications, evaluate supplier proposals, manage technical trade-offs, and steer supplier milestones and deliverables.
  • Support on-site assembly, fluid piping, mechanical alignment, structural installation, and heavy component handling.
  • Contribute to mechanical risk analysis, safety documentation, operational procedures, maintenance routines, and compliance with industrial standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in mechanical design, structural integration, and physical bench assembly in aerospace, automotive, or industrial automation.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • High proficiency in CATIA for physical layout, spatial integration, routing, and virtual mock-up management.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial equipment alignment, piping hook-ups, physical integration, and heavy mechanical components.
  • Experience steering suppliers through manufacturing and acceptance, including technical specifications, proposal evaluation, and technical follow-up.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to electrical wiring, power equipment, control automation, or other adjacent test-bench disciplines.
  • Spanish language skills.
