MDP Customer Engineer II (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Oita, Japan; on-site customer and clean-room work required

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment with guidance from Senior Field Service Engineers.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Communicate directly with customers and coordinate service activities.
• Follow on-site safety, environmental, and clean-room requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of customer or field service support experience, or experience in a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and diagnose basic technical issues.
• Basic mechanical aptitude in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport if travel is required, and ability to meet all on-site requirements.

Nice to have

• 2–4 years of customer or field service support experience, or experience in a related technical field.
