Software Engineer III (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain digital banking software and customer experience features.
• Own services end-to-end and deliver clean, scalable, production-ready Java code.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, designers, and engineers to translate business needs and user stories into technical solutions.
• Create technical documentation, system diagrams, proof-of-concepts, and debugging reports.
• Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations, and monitoring of delivery and system metrics.
• Participate in Agile planning, daily scrums, product demos, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of software development experience using Java.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrent programming, and transactional systems.
• Experience with microservices, Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and cloud environments.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Java IDEs, Tomcat, JSON, XML, YAML, Terraform, Jira, Pub/Sub, and Data Flow.
• Strong collaboration, communication, analytical problem-solving, and structured-thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitHub CI.
• Knowledge of secure solution design, multithreading, and concurrent backend environments.
• Experience with Ruby, Python, Perl, Node, Bash, C, C++, Docker, or Kubernetes.
